How come I can hit my 3 iron the same distance as my driver?

I recently purchased a Tour Edge Exotics XCG-3 Driver with a stiff pro V2 high launch shaft. My irons are Srixon i-506. Why is it I seem to hit the ball about the same distance with both clubs about 200 - 220 yards. I had an old Dunlop Reaction small head driver that I used to hit the middle of the net with. Anybody know what's going on? Thank you
The shafts on the irons are steel Project-X 5.5. The shaft on the driver is stiff graphite.

The longer the club, the lower the loft, the harder it is to hit. It isn't the shaft, or the brand, or whatever- your driver is too long and has too little loft for your swing speed.

I could go on about the Exotic's having a higher COR than the Reaction, but it doesn't matter if you aren't hitting the "sweet spot". Go get everything fitted. The bad news is, if it's found you need more loft, you'll have to buy another driver. The good news is, you'll be able to have better results.
